The first masjid in Canada dedicated to God alone
The Masjid of God is a place of worship where only the name of God is commemorated, on our walls and inside them. We are Submitters. We follow the Quran, God's Final Testament, as the only source of religious guidance.
Our mission
Our goal is to grow our souls through the worship of God alone, to uphold the truth, and to spread the message of worshipping God alone. The main thing that divides religions is the human factor: Jesus, Muhammad, the saints, the scholars. We believe that when people focus on God alone and set the human factor aside, they can be united. That is the message of every messenger God ever sent: worship God alone.
What we believe
God alone
All worship belongs to God. We do not commemorate any name beside His [9:17, 9:107-108], and we do not permit idolatrous practices within the masjid.
Quran alone
The Quran is complete, fully detailed, and the only source of religious law [6:114-115]. We do not uphold hadith or sunna as sources of guidance.
The messenger of the covenant
We recognize Rashad Khalifa as God's Messenger of the Covenant [3:81], through whom God revealed the Quran's mathematical miracle, proof of its divine authorship.
Consultation, not clergy
We have no religious leaders. We study the scripture as a group and decide our affairs after due consultation among us [42:38]. Everyone has an equal voice.
Questions welcome
No question is a bad or silly one. Through questioning, studying the scripture, and applying it, we learn and grow, God willing.
Charity
We strive to observe God's commandment to give to charity and feed the poor, mainly through local food banks and shelters. See our charity works.
